Common and Custom Interfaces for TFT Displays

When selecting a display panel for our devices, in addition to evaluating the AA area (active area), peripheral dimensions, and the LCD panel's optical characteristics, it's crucial to choose a suitable interface mode for the LCD screen that matches our host controller board. The compatibility of the interface mode directly determines whether you can use a particular LCD display.

Rongen Display offers various commonly and customly TFT-LCD interfaces, and it's essential to pay special attention to whether the interface is compatible with your host controller board when making your selection. Based on our experience, we have compiled the following commonly used interfaces and provided brief explanations of their concepts and characteristics:

RGB (Red-Green-Blue) Interface:
RGB is a widely used analog interface that separates image data into its primary colors. It is known for its simplicity and versatility, making it suitable for various applications.


SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) Interface:

SPI is a serial communication interface that is valued for its efficiency and straightforwardness. It is commonly employed in embedded systems and IoT devices.
