ODM Custom Display Process
Most display projects do not start with a part number — they start with a constraint: a bezel that will not fit a rectangle, a sunlight-readable requirement no catalog panel meets, or a driver board that has to disappear into your housing. ODMLCD exists for exactly those cases. Here is how a typical ODM engagement moves from your spec sheet to production-ready samples.
Step 1 — Inquiry & Spec Capture
Tell us what the display has to survive and do: target size and resolution, brightness, interface, operating temperature, and the environment it lives in. Our inquiry form captures the details that cut down email rounds: application, working environment (temperature / brightness need), whether a mechanical change is required, project stage, and estimated MOQ.
Step 2 — Feasibility & NRE Quotation
Our engineers review the spec against DISEA's 169-part standard catalog and existing tooling. We return a feasibility answer and a transparent NRE (non-recurring engineering) quote. For shaped or structurally modified projects, NRE typically runs USD 4,800–7,500.
Step 3 — EVT Sample (6–8 weeks)
First engineering-verification samples are built to prove the mechanical and optical concept. For sampling derived from a standard panel, typical lead time is 5–7 working days; for shaped or structurally modified projects, EVT runs 6–8 weeks.
Step 4 — DVT & Validation
Samples are validated against your spec — optical performance, mechanical fit, and temperature behavior. You receive 2D/3D drawings and a project datasheet so your team can sign off before commitment.
Step 5 — Mass Production
On approval we move to volume. Mass-production lead time is 18–25 working days, on-time delivery 96.5%, MOQ 500 pcs (small batches under 500 pcs carry a +15% premium).
What We Customize
