Medical displays are judged on things consumer screens are not: consistent greyscale, wide viewing angle for a team around a bed, a surface that survives hospital disinfectants, immunity to the RF environment of an operating theatre, and a guaranteed supply for the ten-year life of the device. Here is the checklist we work through with medical OEMs.
Diagnostic-adjacent displays (patient monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, analysers) live or die on legibility of numbers and trends, not on colour saturation. Ask for:
The front surface is touched constantly and wiped with aggressive disinfectants. A chemically strengthened cover glass bonded to the panel gives a flat, sealed surface that can be wiped without liquid ingress, and survives alcohol and chlorine based cleaners that would craze a plastic film. Bonded designs also remove the internal air gap where condensation forms when a cold device enters a humid room.
Medical equipment must meet IEC 60601-1-2. A display is not only a potential emitter — it is also a large aperture that can couple RF into sensitive analog front ends. Specify:
A device with a ten-year service life cannot absorb a silent panel change in year three. Before qualifying a module, get in writing:
Typical medical formats: 2.4–5″ for portable and handheld instruments, 7–10.1″ for bedside monitors and infusion pumps, 12.1–21.5″ for carts, analysers and surgical displays. Where the mainboard sits away from the panel, LVDS with a shielded cable is the safe choice; where everything is on one board, MIPI DSI keeps the stack-up simple.

Yes — ISO 13485:2016, alongside ISO 9001:2015 (TÜV), IATF 16949:2016 for automotive and ISO 14001:2015. Certificates and validity dates are published on our certifications page.
Yes. We support long-term supply agreements, last-time-buy windows and formal PCN notice, and we document pin-compatible migration paths when a panel generation changes.
Indoor ward and OR use is typically 250–500 cd/m². Surgical displays viewed under intense theatre lighting, or equipment used on brightly lit carts near windows, benefit from 700–1,000 cd/m² with AR treatment.
Yes — OCA/OCR full lamination, custom cover glass with AR/AG/AF treatment, silk printing and shape, all handled in-house as part of the ODM flow.
